About Us

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional association for electronic engineering and electrical engineering (and associated disciplines). Formed in 1963, it has grown colossally to be much more than its acronym. Its objectives are the educational and technical advancement of various engineering disciplines. Apart from providing learning opportunities within the sciences, research, and technology, IEEE also produces over 30% of the world's literature in the electrical and electronics engineering and computer science fields, publishing approximately 200 peer-reviewed journals and magazines.

Our Story

IEEE Jamia Hamdard Student Branch (IEEE JHSB) was formed in 2015 . Since its induction, IEEE JHSB has been actively conducting engrossing events and putting together a community of like minded individuals, working towards their goals in tech and related fields, with the same zealous spirit in mind. The team functions in a well-organized manner with members divided into various departments, each having their own set of responsibilities. The executive committee thus formed consists of teams such as editorial, event coordinators, membership development, social media and content, graphics and technical affairs. Depending on their levels of experience, members work in senior and junior positions, contributing to a vibrant, youth-led, creative organization where everyone helps each other bring out the best in them. The team effort thus leads to a myriad of opportunities and events being held, encompassing a wide variety of fields.
